After some much needed sleep, I had my second solo panel on Audio Drama and Podcasting early Saturday afternoon. We had a very chill and fun conversation, and thankfully a few people were already familiar with some of the more popular shows, such as Nightvale and We're Alive. I'm trying to decide how I want to eventually add the information I presented to either youtube or as a blog post, but if you're curious to see my recommendations for other shows to check out, I try to keep this page of the Elysium site curated and up to date as I find more! Between panels, we met up with some other NY voice actors and Youtubers for Hibachi. In particular, I was happy to finally meet Jessi Nowack, who I've been in several projects with, but had never formally met. I also had some of the best Pad Thai of my life. At 9, Adam, Amber, and I hosted an After Dark panel, which was a fun opportunity to talk about some of the more bizarre experiences we'd encountered as creatives and contractors. We continued until the con closed, and ended up spending a few more hours back at the hotel eating snacks and catching up with each other's lives. |

After thanking the con staff, we took a train down to the city for a few hours so I could see downtown New York for myself. I had Korean barbecue for the first time, and got to see the Public Library, Grand Central, and Time Square. I embraced the fact that I was being a complete tourist and took a stupid amount of pictures of the buildings and scenery around me. Bless my friends for watching and waiting when I was inevitably distracted.
